PRENTICE, James D. (Jim)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 16, 2007 James D. "Jim" Prentice, 53, died Aug. 11, 2007, at his home in St. Johns. He was born in St. Johns Oct. 29, 1953, to Bill and Anna Prentice. Jim was an expert heavy equipment mechanic. He kept up with all the current events and was a very caring, giving, neighborly person.He is survived by his parents; son James Garrick (Shantelle) Prentice of Lyman, Wyo.; daughters Suzanne (Tony) Kirkham of Logan, Utah, Mandy (Kiff) Hale of Springerville, Kristine Prentice of Lyman, Wyo., and Lori (Bruce) of Benedict, Wyo.; sister Linda Prentice of St. Johns; and 18 grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Prentice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Downtown Chapel, St. Johns. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled arrangements.
