HUGGINS,
Shannon Lynn
The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona ~ August 20, 2007
Shannon Lynn Huggins left his journey here on Earth to be with God and his family in Heaven Aug. 2, 2007, after a long courageous battle with complications from diabetes.
Shannon married Kimberly Davis in 1992, and they brought into this world Chelcie L. Huggins June 2, 1994. They divorced in 1999 but remained best friends and family. Chelcie was his greatest accomplishment in life, he always said and beamed with pride with mention of her name. Shannon loved Chelcie more than life and fought long and hard to stay on this earth until he knew she was strong enough to go on without him.
Shannon was an industrial mechanic and a bull rider on the summer circuit when he was younger. He also worked in Jackson Hole, Wyo., as a guide and wrangler and was a sixth degree black belt in Yoshimishinki Ryugi Jujitsu. Shannon was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Conway Twitty, that passed on before him last year.
He was a wonderful father and dearly loved his lil buddies Anthony and Chase who called him Uncle Shannon. He brought many smiles to people's faces and would give the shirt off his back to help another person. He was a true cowboy at heart and sure he's looking for a good bull ride up in Heaven. He will be missed by all.
Shannon is survived by his pride and joy, Chelcie Lee Huggins of Pinedale; her mom and stepdad, Kymmie and Joey Avila of Pinedale; his little buddies and her brothers, Anthony and Chase Avila of Pinedale and Easton Avila of Chandler; his girlfriend, JoLynn McCully of Toutle, Wash., and her children; his brother, Brian Mecham and his family of Delta, Utah; his parents, Calvin and Bonnie Huggins of Lyman, Wyo.; sisters, Tamara Irwin and her family of Evanston, Wyo.. and Amanda Ruiz and her family of Rock Springs, Wyo; and his brother, Gavin Huggins and his family of Meridian, Idaho.
A memorial service will be held by his daughter in the outdoors where family and friends will celebrate his life.
