GOKLISH, Ethelina (Ethel)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 23, 2007 Ethelina "Ethel" Goklish, 52, of Whiteriver, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, in Whiteriver. Ethel was born April 3, 1955, in Whiteriver to James and Celena (Naha) Goklish. She was raised and attended school in Whiteriver. She had worked for Whiteriver Day Care and as a waitress at Sunrise Ski Resort. She was a member of Whiteriver Lutheran Church. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, yarn work and sewing. She liked fishing, cooking, and dancing. She loved her nieces and nephews and was always willing to help them. Survivors include her mother, Celena Goklish of Whiteriver; five sisters, Pearl Goklish, Annalita Bonito, Tina Fall, Lenelda Lupe and Cheryl Lupe, all of Whiteriver; three brothers, Jameson, Bryanson and Harrison Goklish, all of Whiteriver; and numerous nieces and nephews. A wake will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Celena Goklish residence, Diamond Creek House 2 in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at Northfork Miracle Church. Burial will be at the Northfork Cemetery.
