JARAMILLO, Socorro (Cora)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 23, 2007 Socorro "Cora" Jaramillo, 91, of Snowflake died peacefully in her sleep at her home with her family by her side Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007. Cora was born April 5, 1916, in Silver Creek Ranch to Shumwayto Petra and Encarnacion Martinez. She was a sister to two brothers, Faustino Martinez (deceased) and Benito Martinez; two sisters, Cruz Armijo (deceased) and Miquela Sedillo (deceased). She was a loving mother to eight children, Ramona (Mel) Gonzales, Dora Rivera, Robert Romero (deceased), Chuco Romero (deceased),Vina (Roger) Baca, Stephanie Mohoff, Phillip (Sharrell) Jaramillo and Cruz (John) Cox. She was a loving grandmother to 24 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake. Interment followed at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
