FARMER, Stephen William


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 27, 2007 Stephen William Farmer, 56, died at RTA Hospice in Lakeside Aug. 12, 2007, following a long struggle with liver disease. Steve was born in Great Falls, Ore., June 4, 1951. He was employed in the construction industry all his life, working primarily as a pipefitter and carpenter throughout the Pacific Northwest where he spent the majority of his life. Ten years ago, Steve moved to Arizona from California to help build his friend Steve Hider's home. He worked locally for CCR Construction. In 1999, he and Billy Rippy partnered up and put their carpenter skills to work on many homes and additions in the Vernon area. Steve is survived by his mother, Patricia, 86, currently living in Oregon; sisters Kathy and Pam; brothers Eddie and Earl; two sons, Cory and Brett; and, the joy of his life, daughter Patricia "Rose." Steve will be greatly missed by many, many friends and family. A memorial barbecue was held Saturday, Aug. 18, at his friend Billy Rippy's home. Steve never wanted anyone to mourn his departure, but rather celebrate the good memories they shared together over the years.
