FODY, Frank Anton (Foots)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 30, 2007 Frank Anton "Foots" Fody, 83, of Show Low died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Infinia in Show Low. Mr. Fody was born Sept. 29, 1923, in the Bronx, N.Y., the youngest of three. He graduated from high school and immediately entered the U.S. Air Force. He worked in civil service at Davis-Monthan AFB and retired in 1978 with 34 years of combined service. He retired from the Show Low Water Department in 1988. Foots (his lifelong nick name) and Ellie were very active with Show Low Elks Lodge No. 2090 and loved their dances and potlucks. Foots was made a life member of the Elks Lodge this year. He is survived by his wife, Ellie; daughter Susan Alley of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; a sister, Ellie; and a daughter, Randy. A very special appreciation goes to Dick Harbold and all the wonderful friends, RTA Hospice in Lakeside and Infinia in Show Low. They have made all the difference at this time. Foots, dad and friend is loved and will be dearly missed. The family requests that no flowers or food be sent to the home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Show Low Elks Lodge No. 2090. Arrangements were under the direction of Black's Mortuary in Show Low.
