Elsa Hedberg passed away Sept. 8, 2010, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 83. She was born to Heinrich and Lina Weinle March 17, 1927, in Stuttgart, Germany.
Elsa was the first woman who was mentioned in the Wall Street Journal as a Lady Boss. On business, she had to spend many years in Hong Kong, India and Sri Lanka. Elsa married MD Bill Hedberg on Oct. 10, 1982, and together they made their home Lake Havasu City 19 years ago moving from San Francisco.
When Elsa retired, she loved to visit her good old Germany in the summertime. She will be laid to rest in her native soil.
Elsa was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her brother, Karl.
She leaves behind her two sisters, Lotte Wolfmaier and Gerda Kurz; and her brother, Richard Weinle; her nephews, Heinz Wolfmaier with Christa, Horst Wolfmaier with Doris, Dieter Kurz with Renate; and her niece, Alice Wahl; and their children and grandchildren, Thomas, Tanja, Anja, Steffen, Celine and Vivien (all Germany).
The family would like to thank her good friends for their great care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Elsa’s name to Hospice of Havasu.
