Leah Rose King went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas at the young age of 54. Her entire family was at her side. She was born Aug. 30, 1956, to Richard and Dorothy Baker, in Pueblo, Colo.
Leah and her husband, John, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1999. Leah is survived by her husband, John, and their adult children, Monique, Evelyn and Kyle, who are all married; and her grandchildren, Maguire, Hannah and Emily; Zachary and Sky. She has a brother, George; and sisters, Irene, Sharon and Jo Ann. She loved her family, shopping for her grandchildren, researching our family tree, spending time with children and grandchildren, and her 85-pound Catahoula Leopard dog, Aristotle.
Leah is greatly missed by all of us. She will have a new, healthy, strong body that will never grow tired where she is going, and waiting for the rest of her family when it is their time.
Leah wanted to be buried near her children (and enjoyed numerous outings at nearby Oak Glen apple orchards), so her funeral memorial will be in Desert Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Calimesa, Calif., at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
In lieu of donations, you may send flowers in care of Leah to Desert Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 11251 Desert Lawn Dr., Calimesa, CA 92320.
