GIFFORD, Carolyn (Carrie)

Carolyn "Carrie" Pugmire Gifford, 42, of Phoenix, passed away January 1, 2004 in Sun City, AZ, following a long, valiant battle with several illnesses. She is survived by her husband, Brent, and her children, McKay, Andrew, Kyle and Elyse. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald M. Pugmire. She was born in Provo, Utah, raised in Rexburg, Idaho, and has been in Arizona for 17 years. She was an active and committed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She earned a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and was married in the Idaho Falls Temple of the L.D.S. Church. She was the Arizona Young Mother of the Year in 2000. A viewing will be held at the L.D.S. Deer Valley Stake Center at 2939 West Rose Garden Lane in Phoenix on Saturday, January 3, 2004. Funeral services will be held in the Deer Valley Stake Center. Interment will be at the Phoenix Memorial Park. Contributions may be sent in her name to the L.D.S. Church Perpetual Education Fund.
