Leonard G. Heck, 55, passed away at his residence in Dudleyville on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. He was born in San Manuel on March 28, 1955.
As a lifetime resident in the area, he first drove a truck and then worked in the mines as an anode crane operator. Mr. Heck participated in hunting and in fishing, but, he did really love playing the guitar in the band at weddings, dances, and various social events.
His wife, Sandra L., lives in Dudleyville. There are three daughters: Lisa (Scott) Amos of Kearny, Heather (Gilbert) Sanchez, and Brittney Heck, both of Dudleyville; Leonard's mother, Lillian June Cotter, of Prescott Valley; Richard and Albert Heck of Pennsylvania and Kearny, respectively, are the two living brothers; a half-sister, Diana Dawson resides in Prescott Valley; three grandsons, Ryan Amos, Jacob Gleave and Matthew Amos. One grandson, Bryan Amos, precedes Leonard in death.
On Saturday, September 18, a Memorial Service will be held at Griffith Mortuary at 11 a.m. Bishop Edwin Colby will officiate.
