Fred Wesley Rush, 73, died Sept. 10, 2010, at his home in Vernon with his wife of 56 years, Maryrose Rush and family by his side. He was born April 25, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif. to Wesley Maurice Rush and Helen Marie Dale.
He was a dedicated father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly loved and missed. He served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne as a paratrooper from 1955-1957. He and his family moved to Tucson in 1963, then to the Show Low area in 1976. He was in the trucking business most of his life and retired from his company - Rush Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Adrianna Rush.
He is survived by his wife Maryrose Rush, eight children, 22 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Vernon Mission, 1579 Vernon Rd., Vernon.
