MEIGHAN, Raymond David


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, September 16, 2010 Raymond David Meighan, a retired Senior Chief Quartermaster, USCG, born Aug. 3, 1927, in Sumner, Iowa, and a resident of Prescott, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Aug. 24, 2010, in Sacramento, Calif. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie, parents, sister and brothers. He is survived by his son Mike, daughter-in-law Dee, sister Geraldine, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. The passion of the man was Rotary and the Coast Guard. In Rotary, he was president of three clubs and a past District Governor of District 5490 AZ. In the USCG, he was the founding president of the CPOA. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 25, 2010, at the Bob Stump VA Medical Center Chapel in Prescott, Ariz. Burial will follow at the Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.
