JONES, Kenneth Leroy


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 26, 2007 Kenneth Leroy Jones, 60, died July 24, 2007, at his home in Vernon with his family by his side. He was born in Albuquerque, N.M. Oct. 30, 1946, to Wesley and Gwendolyn Jones. He was raised in Farmington. At the age of 19 he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Australia. He also served his country in the National Guard. Kenneth married Editha "Edie" Frost in the Mesa, Arizona Temple in 1968. He worked as a petroleum engineer for the BLM and loved working outdoors. Ken loved his children and grandchildren very much. Kenneth is survived by his wife Editha "Edie" Frost Jones; son Kenneth Tyson (Kelly) Jones; daughter Carrie L. Jones; grandchildren Alexandra Dee Jones and Braden Wesley Jones; and sister Marilyn (John) Golden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Gwendolyn Jones; and brother Robert Wesley Jones. Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 28, at the Vernon Branch Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitation was held Friday evening at the church and one-hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
