BEVAN, Roy Earl


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 26, 2007 Roy Earl Bevan, 96, of Show Low died Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Mr. Bevan was born July 14, 1911, in Tifton, Ga., the son of William Cipron and Clifford Arlene Bevan. He was raised and attended school in Tifton. He was married to Ruby, who preceded him in death. He worked as a boilermaker for Southern Railroads, retiring in 1972. He continued working in furniture refinishing after his retirement. He married Rosenda Duran on Jan. 12, 1975, in Harlingen, Texas, and adopted her children. They came to Arizona in 1980, living in Peoria and moving to Show Low in 1998. He served as an elder in the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation. Survivors include his wife, Rosie; daughter Donna Bielecki of Glendale; three grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin and Nigel Bielecki of Glendale; and a brother, William Bevan of Roan Mountain, Tenn. A memorial service was held Monday, July 23, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Show Low. Arrangements were under the direction of Black's Mortuary of Show Low.
