Chalmer "Dean" Morris II, 46, died July 21, 2007, in Phoenix surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 24, 1961, in Holbrook to the late Chalmer and Mary Anderson Morris. He married his loving wife, Dennise McCray, on Dec. 5, 1985, and was sealed in the Mesa Temple.
Dean was currently serving as bishop of the Springerville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He grew up and graduated in Joseph City where he excelled in sports and was greatly loved and supported by friends and family in the community. He was employed by Tucson Electric Power in Springerville.
He enjoyed sports, movies, working with youth in Scouting, had a great sense of humor and brought sunshine and laughter to all who knew him. His greatest love and devotion was to his wife, children and family and dedicated his life to serving and supporting them. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and associated with him.
He is survived by his wife, Dennise, and their seven children, Jeff Caldwell (Wendy), Ronald, Cameron, Loretta, Colette, Brooke and Lauren Morris. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Anderson Morris Law, brothers William Morris (Elaine), Allen Law Jr. (Amy), and sisters Deanne Romo (Thomas) and Heather Record (Michael).
He was preceded in death by his father, Chalmer Dean Morris, stepfather Allen L. Law, and brother Ronald Everett Morris.
A viewing will be held Friday, July 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St., Eagar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007, 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Building.
Interment will follow at approximately 3 p.m. at the Snowflake RV "Mike Ramsey" Cemetery.
Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled the arrangements.
