TAYLOR, Richard Arnold


Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ Friday, September 17, 2010 Richard Arnold Taylor, age 75, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, in Las Vegas at Life Care Center, while under the care of Compassion Care Hospice of Las Vegas. He was born in Las Vegas in 1934. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his wife, Roma; daughter, Beth; friend, Loretta; and the Rev. Judy Andrews of Hospice. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter and private contractor, and built many beautiful homes. He was a perfectionist in his endeavors. Richard lived in Golden Valley for the last 14 years. He loved the desert and the wonderful friends he made in Kingman and Golden Valley. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed helping others as long as he was able. He is survived by his wife, Roma Lee Jardine Taylor of Las Vegas; daughter, Beth Bevan of Mineral Wells, Texas; son, Randy Davis of St. Peters, Mo.; two stepchildren, Bryan Downes and wife Mary of Newman Lake, Wash., and Gina Chatham and husband David of Post Falls, Idaho. He had nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Nancy Schonleber of Huntington Beach, Calif., Norma Askew of Camarillo, Calif., and Marilyn Jones of Lee Summit, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elva; father, Ralph; son, Michael; and brother, Doug. His memorial service is to be held at a later date.
