Rocky N. Rogers, 55, of Williams, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2010.
Mr. Rogers as born at Luke Air Force Base. With the exception of his stint in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and spending a few years in Raton, N.M., he lived out his life in Arizona. Mr. Rogers was a high-spirited, independent cowboy, who knew it was more fun to join the ladies' riding club. He was a talented welder, mechanic and wood carving artist. His charming, generous personality instantly endeared him to children, animals and adults. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his parents, Carol and James Rogers Sr.; brother James Jr. (Becky); daughter Renee Motl (Nick); one granddaughter; and two nieces and two grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Mark.
It was Mr. Rogers' wish to be cremated and have his ashes spread in the same area as his maternal grandfather. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at a later date.
