Maria Bertha Lopez Chomo, 86, of Snowflake, died Aug. 5, 2007.
She was born June 20, 1921, in Guatemala to Ipolito Lopez and Paulina Chomo. Maria was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to talk on the telephone with her family, as well as to spend time with them. She was beautiful and loved dancing to traditional Guatemalan marimba music as she always enjoyed having a good time.
She is survived by her children, Esthela Villagran, Rosalinda Lopez, Guadalupe Gordillo, Hector Gordillo, Jesus Gordillo, Martha Alicia Lopez and Yaneth Lopez, as well as many grandchildren and other family members.
Funeral services were held at the Taylor Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Stake Center Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. Interment was at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled the arrangements.
