Jack L. Skaggs died Sept. 9, 2010, at his home in Prescott, Ariz., at the age of 78. He was born July 9, 1932, in Tulare, Calif., the son of Louis and Hazel Skaggs.
Jack was in the plumbing business for the majority of his life, retiring in 1998. He was an active member of the Korean War Veterans Association, VFW, and the American Legion. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Jack was a Harley man - he loved riding and all of the friendships he shared. His warmth, kindness and love will be missed by all who knew him.
Jack is survived by his wife of 11 years, Charlotte Skaggs; and children Jack Skaggs Jr., Randy Skaggs, Denell and Chandi Skaggs. Survivors also include his brother, Tom (Corky) Skaggs; his five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Jack's life will be 1 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at the VA Chapel Building #152, 500 Highway 89 North, Prescott. Interment will be private at Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz. Donations in Jack's memory may made to KWVA Chapter 311, P.O. Box 12492, Prescott, AZ 86304.
