Paul D. Srout, 58, of Golden Valley passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, in Kingman. He was born Jan. 18, 1952, in Old Fields, W.Va., and came to Golden Valley 21 years ago from Yuma.
Paul obtained an associate degree in Criminal Justice and served as a deputy sheriff in Yuma County and Imperial County in California. He also worked for the Department of Defense as SWAT captain, Drug Enforcement. He served in the United States Marine Corps, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and worked at the Golden Valley Food Bank for 19 years.
Paul is survived by his wife, Mildred Srout of Golden Valley; and three sons, Robert Turk of Yuma, Richard Turk of Windsor, N.Y., and David W. Srout of Florence, Ariz. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, at Golden Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to M. Srout, c/o Golden Valley Baptist Church, 100 S. Higley Road, Golden Valley, AZ 86413.
