Janice Laverne Rivera (formerly Janice Gagnon Malnar), 82, of Show Low died peacefully at her home with her family, friends, brothers and sisters in faith by her side.
Mrs. Rivera was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Iron High School in Minnesota. Following school she worked in the grocery and later the health care industries.

Janice is survived by two sons, Thomas Frank (Judy) Malnar of Canyon Lake, Calif., and Timothy Edward Malnar of Biwabik, Minn.; daughter Carrie Day of El Cajon, Calif.; six granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Adelaide Henrietta Woods of Las Vegas, Nev., and Audry Elaine Barton of Hemet, Calif.; as well as many grandchildren from her late husband Frank's side of the family.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas E. Malnar and Frank F. Rivera; son Todd Douglas; parents Henry and Adelaide (Bauer) Gagnon; brother Jim Gagnon; and sister Mable Batinich.
Memorial services will be held at Owens Mortuary, 320 N. 9th St. in Show Low, at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.
The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and staff at Summit Health Care Regional Medical Center, as well as RTA Hospice and Palliative Care.
