TUCKNESS, Dorothalene


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ September 21, 2010 Dorothalene Tuckness, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in Eagar. She was born June 20, 1922, at Cedro Ranch, Apache County, to Thomas Lawrence Jones and Daphne Tamar Lewis. Dorothalene served in various positions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked for the Forest Service, retiring in 1984 and served in many civic duties. She enjoyed her family, playing cards and definitely a good game of Scrabble or Bridge. She is survived by her sons Jim (Kay) Leverton of St. Johns; Boone (Sue) Hall of Springerville; Clay (Marty) Hall of San Tan Valley; daughters Jeanne (Mike) Udall of Eagar; Beverly (Dennis) Ence of Tonopah; Brenda (Kirk) Morris of Eagar; Nita (Wade) Morris of Mesa; and Leisa Crosby of St. Johns. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Bill Leverton, Wallace Hall and Ralph Tuckness and daughter Christine Hall. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Springerville Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springerville. Interment followed the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
