Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, September 21, 2010 Jerry Dean Groves passed away Sept. 17, 2010, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 74. He was born to John and Doralaska (Taft) Groves on June 7, 1936, in Dinuba, Calif. Jerry served his country proudly under the direction of the United States Army with the 325th Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Chrysler Corp. as a mechanic for 51 years. Jerry and his wife, Ramona, made Lake Havasu City their home eight years ago. He was a member of the BPOE Lodge 2399 and was an avid fisherman. Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife, Ramona R. Groves, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Robert D. Groves of Anchorage, Alaska, and Clay E. Rear of Garden Grove, Calif.; daughter, Danielle R. Greer of Wasilla, Alaska; brother, Arnold Groves of Porterville, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny Groves; daughter, Nancy Groves; and sister, Martella Yearta.
