Robert "Bob" D. Heiliger, 63, of Flagstaff, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010.

Mr. Heiliger was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Porterville, Calif. He was raised and attended school in Riverside, Calif., before moving to Flagstaff in 1979. He worked at and retired from W.L. Gore & Associates. He enjoyed hunting and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. He loved building his custom motorcycle. His kind and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Heiliger is survived by his longtime companion of 18 years, Soncha Van Hazel; son Matthew C. Heiliger; daughter Tanya Winscott; brother Michael Heiliger and his wife, Bette; sister Dottie Pouritt; brother Steve Heiliger; three nephews; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hudson and Pauline Heiliger.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, in Flagstaff.
