Michael George Gross, 62, died June 24, 2007, in Lakeside.
He was born Nov. 9, 1944, in St. Louis, Miss. Mike moved to Phoenix in 1954, where he graduated from West High, and lived there until moving to Snowflake in 2000.
Mike loved to play golf when he was young and enjoyed fishing anytime, any place. He was interested in wolves, loved all dogs and any type of western or horror movies. Mike worked in the meat department at Ed's IGA grocery store in Snowflake and before that worked at various group homes in Phoenix, helping the elderly and disabled, and caring for many troubled youth in the group home system.
Mike "inherited" his large family when he married Marylyn Myers and 1980. He loved his family very much and will be missed by all!
Michael is survived by his wife, Marylyn Gross of Snowflake; daughters Roxy Schuyler and Carol Nichols; sons Don Myers and Dan Myers; grandson Joe Cox; son-in-law Mike Nichols and Jack Schuyler; granddaughter Amanda Nichols; great-grandson Joey Cox; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Cox; adopted grandson Michael Jones; adopted daughter Carrie Ashley; and adopted son Jim Ashley.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, John and Veronica Gross, and son Tom Myers.

Private family services were held.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled the arrangements.
