STEPHENSON, Donna Ruth (Ruthie)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 5, 2007 Donna Ruth "Ruthie" Stephenson 86, died June 30, 2007, at Bannon Springs Ranch in Vernon. She was born May 20, 1921, in Enid, Okla., to Elizabeth Woodson and Otheo Cheves. Ruth enjoyed being a full time Mother and homemaker. She loved giving service to the Women of the Moose for many years, were she held various offices. She especially loved to sew and make handmade items for bazaars. In her spare time, she held boutiques in her home. You may just have some of Ruth's handy work in your home. Ruthie is survived by her daughter, Donna (Owen) Peeler; son David Stephenson; grandchildren, Paul Peeler; Sarena (Heath) Price; great-grandsons, Brandt and Jarren McNeill; sister Delma Rangel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Stephenson; parents, Otheo and Elizabeth Cheves; seven brothers and sisters, along with a grandson Jason Stephenson. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 5, at the Tooele Cemetery in Tooele, Utah. Owens Mortuary of Show Low and Tate Mortuary of Tooele, Utah handled the arrangements.
