Jeanette Davidson, 99, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2004. Jen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 1904. She moved to Phoenix in 1937 with her husband, Dean, daughter, Norma, and son, Bud. Jen was a member of Temple Beth Israel for 64 years. She belonged to Temple Sisterhood and was an enthusiastic participant, especially in occasions that entailed cooking and baking. She was a member of Hadassah, The Order of the True Sisters, Kivel Auxiliary. She had been a Life Member of City of Hope and CARIH. Jen was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dean S. Davidson and by her brothers, Mickey Pitlor and Al Pitlor, and her sister, Fanny Lyman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Ken Sadick and by her son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Sande Davidson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Linda Sadick Wolfe, Keith J. Davidson, Gary D. Davidson and Judith; and by her great grandchildren, Brian Wolfe, Sarah Wolfe, Lauren Davidson and Gordon. She is survived, also, by two nieces, Doris Chesler and Evelyn Bourne. Jen was a generous and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family and friends, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Tootsie Pie. A graveside service was held Thursday, January 8th at Temple Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jen's name to the Dean S. Davidson Children's Library Fund at Temple Beth Israel, 10460 N 56th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85253.
