Elbert Walter "Fess" Fessenden died Sept. 17, 2010 at the Bob Stump VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.

He leaves behind his sisters, Joan Salado of Tolleson, Ariz., Carol (Bob) Scott of Ashflats , Ark.; and brother, John (Shirley) Fessenden. Fess was preceded in death by his sister Jessie Nelson.

Fess retired from the United States Navy after serving 22 years, and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Committal services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 with military honors at Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz.
