STARK, Nick Horace

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Saturday, September 25, 2010 Nick Horace Stark, 54, passed away on Sept. 12, 2010, in Lake Havasu City with his family by his side. He was born on Feb. 9, 1956, in Los Angeles to Russell and Mary Stark. Nick married his beloved wife, Brenda, on Jan. 29, 1981, and together they made Lake Havasu City their home a year and a half ago, coming from Ventura County, Calif. He served in the United States Air Force and spent most of his life in the car industry, working his way up as a young salesman to managerial positions to eventually owning his own wholesale business for more than 10 years. Nick enjoyed taking his boat out with family and friends, riding his Harley, and playing blackjack at his favorite casinos. Nick had a huge heart and was always willing to help family, friends and even perfect strangers without expecting anything in return. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Brenda Stark of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Shawnda Stark, 27; son, Christopher Stark, 22; mother, Mary Niss; brothers, Sidney and John Stark; and sister, Tamara Ackerman. The family would like to thank those that not only treated but also befriended and truly cared for Nick and his family over these past few months during his struggle with cancer. A special thanks to Dr. Weaver, Dr. Lyster, Ovid and the nurses at LHRMS. A celebration of Nick’s life will be held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
