MCCULLOUGH, Robert B.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 16, 2007 Robert B. McCullough, 88, of Mansfield, Ohio, died July 6, 2007, in Tucson with his family at his side. This gentle, kind, giving man touched many along his path of life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII stationed in Pearl Harbor. Many on the golf course knew Bob as a scratch golfer who played every day, rain or shine, whether it be in Tucson in the winter or Alpine in the summer. He was an avid hunter. His morning ritual of coffee with his friends at Beer Wollow was only a part of his love for Alpine and the many there who meant so much to him. Friends and family were Bob's driving force each day. In passing, he longed to be reunited with his brothers who passed before him, Russell and Harry, and his parents, Harold and Mini. Bob will be sorely missed. Bob retired from TEP as a manager of the Right-A-Way Deptartment after 30-plus years of service. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Grace; his son, Harold (his best buddy), Harold's wife Suzie and their children Sean, Michael, Shannon, "Katie" and Kiley. He is also survived by his very close niece, Miriam Miles and her family; nephew Paul McCoullough and his family; sister-in-law Lois McCullough, her children Ellen, Karen and Robin and their families. His celebration of life will be held at East Lawn Palms Chapel, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Thursday, July 12, at 3 p.m. with reception on-site to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Odessey Hospice in Tucson.
