SHERBONDY, David


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 16, 2007 David Sherbondy, 64, of Pinetop died July 11, 2007, at his home. Mr. Sherbondy was born Aug. 5, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Highlands High School of San Antonio in 1960. Following high school he attended San Antonio Community College and later the University of Texas. It was here that he met Lynda K. Frizzell, and they were married Jan. 25, 1964, in San Antonio. Following their marriage, David worked for Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas. He then returned to San Antonio where he owned and operated a dry cleaning business before going into real estate. They moved to California in 1978 and did numerous jobs as an instrument technician before going to work for South California Edison in 1981 where he was an instrument and control technician. In 1997 he retired and moved to Pinetop. During David's retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening and poker. He also loved to dance the two-step. David is survived by his wife, Lynda K. Sherbondy of Pinetop; three daughters Andra Geismann of Pinetop, Amy Antoine of Dana Point, Calif., and Suzette Sherbondy, of Newport Beach, Calif.; and six grandchildren. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Texas. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society in care of David Sherbondy, 2724 E.
