The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 19, 2007 Grace Bennett, 72, of Show Low, died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at a local hospital. Mrs. Bennett was born July 2, 1935, at Albany, N.Y., the daughter of Clarence and Luella Taber. She was raised and attended school in Albany. She was married to Stewart Bennett March 30, 1999, at Truth or Consequences, N.M. She came to Arizona eight years ago, was a lifelong homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her husband, Stewart, of the home; daughter Betty (Daniel) DeMatteo of Phoenix; sister Lillian; three grandsons, Daniel DeMatteo of Queen Creek, Joseph and Michael DeMatteo both of Chandler; granddaughter Tammy of New York; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at noon, Friday, July 20, in the Chapel of Black's Mortuary in Show Low with Rev. Bob Cutlipp officiating.
