BOWMAN, Betty Ann

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 19, 2007 Betty Ann Bowman, 64, died July 14, 2007, at her home in Snowflake. Betty was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Fayetteville, Tenn. where she spent her first three years. Her family then moved to Arizona, beginning in Tucson but spending most of her life in Phoenix. She married Chuck Bowman Jan. 3, 1969, and they raised a wonderful family together. Upon retirement in 1999, they moved to Snowflake. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her best times were spent with family, and she was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her mom, Margaret Ledford; her loving husband, Charles B. Bowman; children Kenneth (Stacy) Bowman and Traci (Bruce) Gemmell; grandchildren, Brittini Bowman, Travis Gemmell, Noah Bowman, and Kaitlyn Gemmell; brothers Wayne (Diane) Ledford and Larry (Char) Ledford. Services were held at the Valley View Baptist Church July 18. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled the arrangements.
