The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 19, 2007 Maredia F. Neill, 88, of Show Low died July 15, 2007. Mrs. Neill, a homemaker, was born Feb. 4, 1919, in Lafe, Ark., where she grew up and attended school. Following school she worked on her family farm. In 1939 she met Herbert Neill; they were married Oct. 27, 1940. Following their marriage they lived in numerous places while Herbert worked in the oil fields. They moved to Litchfield Park in 1957; in 1961 they moved to Show Low. In 1972 they moved to Brandsville, Miss., and returned to Show Low in 1976. She loved to sew, garden and cook. Herbert preceded Maredia in death in 1982. Maredia is survived by her daughters, Cornellia Novak of Flatonia, Texas, Carlene Tisdale and Linda Probasco, both of Show Low; son Verlon Neill of Lakeside; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, at the Lakeside Cemetery. A viewing was held July 19, at Owens Mortuary in Show Low. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
