TITLA, Davison, Sr.


Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, Sep 29th, 2010 Davison Titla, Sr., 60, of Bylas, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 in Mesa, Ariz. Davison was born Feb. 25, 1950 to Robert and Gussie Titla in Bylas, Ariz. He graduated from Ft. Thomas High School in 1969 and was attending Eastern Arizona College when he was drafted into the United States Army. Davison attended boot camp at Ft. Hood, Texas before being sent to Vietnam where he was assigned to the front line as a combat Infantryman serving with Company B 1st Battalion. He earned many medals and honors: Army Commendation Medal with V Device for Heroism, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Sharpshooter (Rifle) Medal. Davison had many hobbies and interests in life. He was a musician and played in a band; he was an artist, a cowboy for the Cattle Association and very proud to be a Veteran. He loved all of his children and grandchildren very much. Davison is survived by his children, Davison Jr., Dayna, Hinton, Dorian and Robin Titla; siblings, Alberta Rope, Phillip Titla, Sr., and Lambert Titla, Sr.; eight grandchildren and Bernaleen Titla. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gussie Titla; son, Dennison Doninique Titla; nephew, Darrell Titla; brother, Willis Titla; and granddaughters, Christian R. Titla and Kelsey Titla. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 18 at Stanley Hall in Bylas, Ariz. with interment in the Bylas Veterans Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
