Winterset Madisonian, Winterset, Iowa Wednesday, March 23, 1994 Lewis Jacobe, Arizona Lewis Edward Jacobe, 69, of Mesa, Ariz. Died of a heart ailment March 18, 1994 at the Mi-Casa Care Center in Mesa, Ariz. Services are today, March 23, 1994 at 1 p.m. at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Murray. He was born in Winterset and lived in Des Moines most of his life and in Arizona part-time the past seven years. He retired as a laborer for Paxton Lumber Co., was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Forresters. Surviving relatives include his wife, H. Darlene; one daughter, Suzette Smedes; two sons, Asa and Dennis, all of Des Moines; one sister, Elosia Mae Libby of Winterset; one brother, Delmer of Ohio; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
