The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ June 4, 2007 Garrett Michael Johnson died May 27, 2007, in Pinal County. He was born Nov. 5, 1980, in Big Rapids, Mich. Garrett grew up in Show Low and graduated from Show Low High School in 1999. He attended Arizona Western College in Yuma and the University of Rhode Island on football scholarships. Recently he worked part-time while trying to complete his engineering degree. Garrett had a passion for family, football, creative writing, music and the great outdoors. He is survived by his son, Michael Garrett Johnson; older brother Michael Johnson; mother Anne Johnson; birth mother Cindy Seager; birth father Donald Mayberry; and extended families and friends. He was preceded by his father, Steven Johnson. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at The Living Streams Church, 7000 N. Central Ave., Phoenix. Gravesite services will be held Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at the Evergreen Mortuary Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Road, Tucson.
