Sharon Marie Brown Ray died Thursday, May 31, 2007, in Bowie.
She was born Sept. 13, 1950, in Cottonwood to Richard and Barbara Brown. She lived in Williams until she was 8 years old and then moved to Flagstaff where she graduated from Coconino High School in1969.
Sharon lived a rich life and enjoyed her family, cooking, boating and horses. She was active in Round Valley wrestling and helped run tournaments throughout the state. She worked several years for Little Colorado Health Center and founded Independent Counseling Service in Springerville. Recently, she was active in community service in Bowie.
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Barbara Brown of Winslow; husband, Shelby Ray; sons Shawn Ray (PJ), Sy Ray (Lexi), Sev Ray (Ellen); and eight grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Thomas Brown (Darnel) of Flagstaff, Guy Richard Brown (Patty) of Winslow, Sandra Sparn (Joe) of Grand Junction, Colo., Timothy Brown (DeDe) of Winslow, Brandi Juarez (Billy) of Winslow and Joshua Brown (Susie) of Winslow.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 8, at the LDS Stake Center on Main Street in Eagar. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Sharon's name.
