Leatha Olivia Mortenson, 92, died April 26, 2007, in Taylor.
She was born in Wilburton, Okla., and moved to Arizona in the early 1920s. She graduated from Bisbee High School the only year diplomas were issued on copper sheets.
She married her sweetheart, Oral R. Mortenson on March 19, 1937, in Bisbee. She later worked at Fort Huachuca as a clerk for 18 years. She moved to Texas for a short time after her husband passed away in 1999 and then moved to Taylor five years ago.
Leatha is survived by two sons, Duane Mortenson of Benson and Les (LouAnn) Mortenson of Taylor; two daughters, Audrey (Carl) Rohwer of Leander, Texas, and Marilyn (Tom) Allaire of Harper, Ore.; daughter-in-law Linda Mortenson of Ponchatoma, La.; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Archie Edge of Coolidge and Forest Edge of Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral; two sons, Glen and Andrew; and by her siblings, Leslie Edge, Joel Edge, Bob Edge, Paul Edge, David Edge, Betty Edge and Wilma Boehm.
