KNIGHT, Mary Alice

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 7, 2007 Mary Alice Knight, 66, longtime resident of Woodruff, died May 2, 2007, in Provo, Utah. Mary was born in Beaver, Utah, June 19, 1940, to Frank White and Alice Gale Farnsworth. After five boys, her parents were elated to finally have a girl. She married Ferral Knight on July 12, 1961. They met while attending Southern Utah State College in Cedar City, Utah. After graduation in 1963, they moved to Holbrook where they both worked as teachers. In 1965 they moved to Woodruff where they still lived to date. Mary also worked at the Petrified Forest National Park for many years. She was also an avid crafter and quilter. Mary was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mary is survived by her husband, Ferral; their eight children and their families, Mary Kaye (Jim, Mandy, Mathew and Chris) Irwin, Laurie Jones, Edith (Ron, Nikki, Brady, Gabri) Ulloa, Newel (Nola, Nick, Nicole) Knight, Jeff (Theresa, Kierra, Colin, Kelsey, Kourtney) Knight, Dyonne (Jorge, Seth) Pimiente, Galen (Shannon, Jade, Jesse, Allyson) Knight and Cory (Amanda, Emily, Nataly, Ethan, Rylee) Knight; three brothers, Gale, Dough and Bob Farnsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arlow and Clair Farnsworth and sister Martha Ann Bell. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Owens Mortuary in Holbrook and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Woodruff Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary's favorite charity, The Perpetual Education Fund, or to the Missionary Fund in her name. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
