Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, October 5, 2010 Stephen “Hef-A” M. Janes April 5, 1949 – Sept. 18, 2010 Hef-A passed away on Sept. 18. He passed away to be out of pain and to remain peaceful and beautiful. He was a great artist and lived one day at a time, always smiling and had hugs to give or a joke to make you smile. Almost everyone never knew his given name; they only knew him by “Hef-A”. He came to Lake Havasu City in October 1983. Hef-A was among many who built half of our city. He framed many homes and businesses here. He made Lake Havasu City his home and resting place. Hef-A, your smiles and positive outlook is missed by all of us and your mother and sister in North Carolina. “I love you, mister and will miss the harmony we had together. The last four years, you made my home a home with your love.” I love you now, always and still. Your Honey, Sandy.
