Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday, October 06, 2010 Amanda Garcia, 20, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, in Winslow. She was born Oct. 5, 1989, in Gallup, N.M. She graduated from Queens Creek Military School, worked for Campus of Care (dietary) and at Taco Bell for more than a year. She liked softball, fishing and swimming at the creek. She loved spending time with her family and wrestling with her brothers. She is survived by her mothers, Deidre Delgado of Gallup and Darlene Gallegos of Winslow; fathers Robert Gallegos of Winslow, Karl Plotner of Winslow and Rocky Garcia of Gallup; brothers Gregory Jaramillo of Gallup, James Plotner of Winslow, Marcas Tafoya of Winslow, Esteban Tafoya of Winslow and Delfino Gallegos of Winslow; sisters Roxann Garcia of Gallup, Shelly Herrera of Gallup, Windy Dunn of Buffalo, N.Y., Maggie Smith of Winslow, Donna Tafoya of Winslow and Kayla Tafoya of Winslow; grandparents Juan Delgado of Gallup, Manforita Gallegos of Belen, N.M., Jesse and Dorothy Plotner of Winslow, Dora Garcia of Gallup and Abe Garcia. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alma (Milligan) Delgado; grandfather Juan Gallegos; and sister Dusty Gallegos. Visitation will be today from 7 - 9 p.m. at Greer's Mortuary Chapel. Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Madre De Dios Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., with celebrant father Frank Chacon. Interment will follow at Desert View Cemetery. Greer's Mortuary of Winslow is handling arrangements.
