Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. 06 Oct. 2010 Mrs. Shirley Mae Sinz, born April 11, 1933, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Aug. 31, 2010, in Tucson, Arizona, following a lengthy battle with cancer. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Eastside Assembly of God Church in Tucson. Internment and Graveside Services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden on Sept. 25, at 1:00 p.m. Shirley is survived by her children, Laura L. Brown, Nancy L. Ladd (Bill), Vickie L. Lechuga (Pilar), Arthur L. Lain III (Vicky), Sheryl L. Lain-Young (Jack), Garrie L. Lain (Ronda), Daniel L. Lain (Nancy), and Tammy L. Hartley (Steven). She is preceded in death by her daughter Melinda Lee Lain Avelar and by her husband Harvey Sinz. Among her survivors are 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her former husband and the father of her children, Art Lain Jr. Shirley was a long time resident of Kearny. She and her family moved to Kearny in 1969, and she returned in 1991, when she married Harvey Sinz. She opened a Sewing Center in Kearny before moving to Marana and then to the Phoenix area. She had recently returned to Tucson, and was receiving care from Casa de la Luz Hospice and also by her many family and friends. She now rests peacefully for all eternity with the Lord. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please send a donation to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure or to the American Cancer Society. Help us to end breast cancer forever.
