Ida Maybelle Caskey died Oct. 3, 2010, in Show Low.
She was born to Clarence L. Sharp and Cora Ida Gibbons Feb. 27, 1940.
She lived in Reserve, N.M., Heber and , for the past 32, years in Shumway. Maybelle was a faithful and lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed her time reading political history and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a cute and fun sense of humor. Maybelle has been married to Billy R. Caskey in Eagar for 49 years.
She is survived by her husband Bill; three sons: Troy Dean Caskey of Glendale, Trent Wayne Caskey of Gilbert, and Travis Lynn Caskey of Snowflake, and a daughter Tracy René Jacobs of Phoenix. She is also survived by her brothers: Durrell Sharp, Don Pearson, Nick Pearson, Dick Pearson, Joe Sharp, Johnny Sharp, and Harry Sharp, as well as by 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Clare Yvonne Beck, and her brother Charles Sharp.
A public viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 8 from 5-7 p.m. at the Lovelake Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taylor. A viewing will also be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 9:30 a.m. with funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. also at the Lovelake Chapel. Interment will follow services at the Shumway Cemetery.
