Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona ~ 10/09/2010 Arthur F. Nemmers (1934 - 2010) Arthur F. Nemmers, age 75, born Dec. 20, 1934 in Bancroft, Iowa to Nicholas and Mae Nemmers, passed away Oct. 7, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe, AZ. He was born, raised and went to school in Iowa. Right after high school he joined the armed forces and served his country proudly in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. After being honorably discharged he worked at the US Post Office in Iowa, as well as with Chrysler and Sunstrand in Illinois. He came to Arizona in 1972. He worked as a technician in the Acid Plant for Inspiration Copper Co. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, he was very good at fixing things and liked being with his friends drinking coffee. He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond, Richard, and Lorrin Nemmers and his sisters Elizabeth Kollash, Donna Barmore, Laureen Nemmers and Mary Ann Laspana. Arthur is survived by his sisters Leola Graydon of Globe, AZ, Shirley Bauer of Majesty Park, IL, Dorothy Wiley of Phoenix, AZ and Dee Kirkpatrick of Yuma, AZ along with many nieces and nephews. Nemmers, age 75 of Wheatfields, Ariz. passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe. He was born in Bancroft, Iowa on Dec. 20, 1934, the son of Nicholas and Mae Nemmers. Arthur was born, raised and went to school in Iowa. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Richard, and Lorrin “Joe” Nemmers; and his sisters, Elizabeth Kollash, Donna Barmore, Laureen Nemmers, and Mary Ann Laspana. A potluck memorial service will be held on Oct. 16, 2010 at noon at the Liquor Stables in Globe, Ariz. Assisting the family Lamont Mortuary.
