The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Saturday, October 9, 2010 Gloria Jean Ackerman 1946 - 2010 Gloria Jean Ackerman (Casaus), 64, of Camp Verde, Arizona went on to be with the Lord on October 4, 2010. She had a quick and peaceful passing at Verde Valley Medical Center with family and loved ones at her side. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Aurora Casaus. She is survived by her loving husband, Guy Ackerman of Camp Verde, Arizona; brothers, Steve Casaus (Rachael), Robert Casaus, Roland Casuas (Christine), Richard Casuas, Sr.; sisters, Linda Casaus, Magdalena Vazquez (Jesus, Sr.); additionally Gloria is survived by five nephews, Jesus Vazquez, Jr., Richard Casaus, Jr., Matthew Casaus, Daniel Casaus, Cameron Casaus as well as two nieces, Kayleen Cater (Patrick) and Victoria Warfolk (Edward) and one great niece, Juniper Warfolk. Gloria was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. She graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1964 and shortly thereafter from Flagstaff Beauty College. Gloria was a hairdresser and hair salon business owner for many years in Flagstaff before relocating to Camp Verde. She was an avid outdoors person and loved to hunt and fish. Gloria was very artistic and loved to paint. No memorial services will be held.
