HIGGINS, David Winthrop

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, September 14, 2010 David Winthrop Higgins passed away on Sept. 12, 2010, after a full and happy life of 89 years. Born on July 31, 1921, in Fergus Falls, Minn., David is survived by his wife of 66 years Shirley Jane Higgins of Dewey. He is also survived by his son David Michael Higgins of Los Angeles; his three granddaughters, Meredith Brooke Johnson (and her husband Brett Johnson), Allison Jill Higgins and Hillary Ivy Higgins; as well as his great-grandson Rhys Evan Johnson, all of Los Angeles. David was a veteran of the Pacific Theater in World War II and spent his career in administration of the City of Richmond, Calif. He was a member of the Retired Public Employees Association of California, Chapter 330 of the Order of the Elks and Post 12006 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and CASA. He will be greatly missed.
