WACASER, Marjorie (Marge)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, September 18, 2010 Marjorie (Marge) Wacaser passed away Sept. 9, 2010, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born in Normal, Ill., July 11, 1924. Marge was raised in Northern, Ill. Her parents, Emery E. Wacaser and Dorothea J. Wacaser, were teachers and both taught in S. Beloit, Ill., where Marge graduated from high school in 1942. She went on to be a photo-retoucher for many years, until her artwork took a turn away from negatives. She was an accomplished painter of murals and photographs of which many were landscapes and nature. She was very generous with her artwork, mainly pastels, which many of her family have hanging in their homes. She is preceded by her father's death in 1938 and her mother's in 2003 at 101 and 6 months old. She had moved from Phoenix to Dewey several years ago to be near her sister, Jean Harris. Marge is survived by sister, Jean Harris, of Dewey, Ariz.; brothers Emery of Burton, Mich., and Frank of Kingman, Ariz.; five nieces; and one nephew. She enjoyed her church association.
