The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 21, 2007 Gordon Keith Simshauser, 75, of Navajo died May 16, 2007. Gordon was born July 6, 1931, in Amherst, Neb. Gordon was a retired farmer and rancher. He loved fishing, gardening, farming, caring for animals and helping others. He is survived by his wife, Iola; sons Kent of Navajo, Kerry of Lynden, Wash., and Kregg of Everson, Wash.; daughters Joy Plagerman of Everson, Wash., Roxanne Lenssen of Lynden,Wash., and Kandy Bromley of Sumas, Wash.; brother Freddie Adlung of Amherst, Neb.; sisters Jane Hunt of Amherst, Neb., Phyllis Nelson of Amherst, Neb., and Edith Schriner of Kearney, Neb.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Tracy Simshauser. brother Calvin Simshauser. sisters Audrey Condon and Vivian Juhl. and great grandson Ty Jacob Simshauser. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. at the McCarrell Road Cemetery in Chambers. Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled arrangements.
