The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 24, 2007 Brent Pilkin, 42, of Florence died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at his home. Brent, an electrician, was born Sept. 24, 1964, in Greencastle, Ind. His family moved to Arizona when he was a child where he grew up and attended school in Lakeside. Following school he began working in construction and later became an electrician. He really enjoyed metal detecting. Brent is survived by his parents, Phil and Gloria McCray of Lakeside and William and Wanda Pilkin of Picayon, Miss.; three brothers, Carl Pilkin of Slidell, La., Troy "Slim" Pilkin of Picayon, Miss., and Hank Wingfield of Taylor; one sister, Shellie Halfill of Port Orchard, Wash.; and maternal grandmother Maureen Manson of Lakeside. Funeral services will be Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at the Owens Mortuary Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Lakeside Cemetery following the services. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
